

If you choose this project, you will do various tasks, such as actively participating in arts and music workshops developing artistic, creative material, and actions in addressing environment conservation and climate change issues and you will even do tree planting to get to know the local culture better!Ħ. The project goal is to develop and create meaningful events and performing arts programs embodying development through culture. This Arts and Music project for community action is also located in the island of Uti and is a very unique program that is expected to bring together volunteers with or without skills in Arts/Music, but with passion to stimulate positive change in the society. Apart from restoring and improving biodiversity in the area, in this project you will also join and facilitate environmental workshops aimed at sensitizing local community about environmental issues.ĥ. In this wonderful place you will have the extraordinary opportunity to actively contribute to ecological sustainability and to the reforestation of the island’s mangrove forests which constitutes the main natural “sea-wall”, a kind of coastal defense which protects areas of human habitation, conservation and leisure activities from the action of tides, waves or tsunamis. The island is located in the Menai bay conservation areawhich forms an important ecosystem of mangrove forests, coral reefs and a large diversity of plants, land and water animals, including dolphins, African Sea Eagles, and protected marine turtles.

The beautiful project “Natural Seawall” runs on different dates in January 2019 and is located in Uzi, a lovely small island in the South of Zanzibar whose inhabitants are mostly fishermen and farmers. The project is located in the outskirts of Dar es Salaam City.ģ. In order to contribute to this idea, volunteers will do community service (planting trees in an ecovillage, public places and schools) and participate in SDGs education and awareness initiative which will inform both volunteers and community members about sustainable development goals through workshops, debates, discussions and educational tours.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), otherwise known as Global Goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The project is located in the outskirts of Dar es Salaam City.Ģ. The activities which volunteers will do during the project are various and exciting: indoor and outdoor games ornamental and vegetable planting, composting, garden tours activities in nature: bird watching, learning about various plants, birds, animals, worms, and insects available in the area helping children to do their homework, in order for them to get ready for the new year studies. This lovely project will give you the opportunity to offer a beautiful Christmas period to children and teenagers aged 6-14 years old who otherwise, due to socioeconomic limitations, would not enjoy Christmas time when most private and public schools are closed in Tanzania.
